Weddings are as varied as the women, and occasionally men, who plan
them. Some are barefoot, some arranged, others are beachside, and
some are same sex. The common threads are that two people unite for
life and that, unless it is a spur-of-the-moment-Vegas-chapel wedding,
family and friends are usually present. Thus, the latent result of
many weddings is that they become the site of reunions and introductions.
When Will Brundidge and Carla Corona wed in May, the native New Orleanians
gathered their relatives and good friends to celebrate their nuptials.
Felice and Hume were among the revelers who witnessed not only a union
between Carla and Will take place but also a reunion of the betrothed’s
loved ones.
Whether having traveled from a few streets over or a few states over,
wedding-goers greeted each other with smiles and warm hugs. Others
met for the first time, and perhaps, as with many weddings, two singles
were introduced and another spark lit.
For Felice, another common theme was present on her best friend Carla’s
wedding day: the wedding party all donned Felice’s glass creations.
The bridesmaid’s white and periwinkle dresses were beautifully
accented by single snowflake clusters.
