We are busy busy busy turning our new space at 424 King St. into a jewelry store fit to display our glass goodies. As an old Polo Tennis store it was not painted a fun color, nor was the lighting quite bright enough, and that brown, concrete floor... It is safe to say that many hours have been spent, and many more will be spent preparing for April 1: Opening Day. As items are checked off of the list (walls painted, shelving purchased), more are added (credit card machine, alarm). But, at the end of this month we will be sittin' pretty in a glamorous, yet funky new store. Or how did the City Paper describe us..."sporty/jaunty and pricey/swanky." That is the look we are striving for in the new space because the jewelry can be worn with a wedding dress or blue jeans.
