Instead of marking the new year by resolving to change yourself, perhaps there is a more practical and positive alternative. I suggest finding your strong points and resolving to keep and strengthen them. Keep your habit of reading before bed, keep your fabulous hair color, keep cooking!

At Felice Designs, Felice and I promise to keep creating jewelry and personal contact with our clients. These are the things we do well. However, we make no promise to keep our office clean in the new year. Such an attempt would result in us feeling like failures by March. Our back room is home to scraps of paper and chunks of glass. Some call it creative energy at work; I call it a mess. But we operate well in our clutter. Why change our style?
